Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Internal SAP FICO Consultant to join our in-house SAP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAP FICO solutions to support our Finance and Controlling operations. This role focuses on SAP S/4HANA and works closely with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams in Germany and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, CCA, PCA, Internal Orders).
• Analyse business requirements, design solutions, and translate them into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with finance teams to optimize and automate financial processes.
• Manage and support SAP FICO-related projects, including full lifecycle implementations and international rollouts.
• Act as an internal advisor on best practices in SAP Finance and Controlling processes.
• Handle second-level support for FICO-related incidents and coordinate with external support partners when necessary.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide training, documentation, and post-go-live support to key users and stakeholders.
• Participate in the governance of SAP template design and maintain compliance with corporate standards.

Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, with strong hands-on configuration skills.
• Deep understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, controlling, and cost center accounting.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (or migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA).
• Fluent in German (C1 level or higher) and English (B2/C1 level).

Preferred:

• Experience in an in-house/corporate environment (not only consulting).
• Familiarity with adjacent SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of tax and legal compliance within the German or EU financial framework.
• Prior involvement in international SAP template rollouts or process harmonization initiatives.
